The good ol Invermere Canada Day parade. Seems to be a staple over the years for us. Then perhaps a little boating, Im sure the lake will be an absolute gong show like every Canada Day long weekend but drop the anchor and
Canada Day parade in Raymond. (if you don't know where that is, then you're not alone - but probably also not from southern Alberta) I think the population of that town quadruples on July 1st. Family BBQ afterwards, maybe followed by a round of golf or a round of skeet. Maybe both. At the same time. Top it all off with watching the fireworks in Lethbridge and getting caught up on the results of the free agent frenzy!!

The street hockey tournament here is a little disappointing. The playing surface is way too small so it's just people standing still swinging sticks around and losing the ball every minute. I guess I shouldn't have expected much from an Aussie pub though.
It should still be a good day, I'm going to fill up on Caesars, wings, and perogies. They also brought in snow so I'm very interested in seeing my daughter's reaction playing in it for the first time.

First Canada Day in the city in a while. Gonna hit up Confederation Park, see the 1967 time capsule thing. See what kind of crazy things existed back in the Summer of Love.

Big BBQ in West Island Montreal with family and then off to Jacques Cartier Bridge for fireworks and light show from the 40 Million spent to light it up.
- Only 30M was federal money, so thanks everyone for your dollar to the cause
So, what was in the time capsule? How did people live in the 1960s?
I dunno, there was too many people and it looked like it would be awhile to get a look. There were some neat pictures they had out of the park back then that had no trees.
