Think of all the analytics, hours upon hours of training, and years of development of players to build a contending team. And it ultimately just comes down to a whistle happy ref.
This is going to be one of those heartbreakers for Nashville, I can feel it.
Heading into the 3rd at home, tied after plenty of good chances to score, including a disallowed goal from a quick whistle. Penguins are going to get some weird bounce and score a goal late in the 3rd to win the cup.
That what I was thinking, but Murray, being a rookie and all is probably feeling the pressure of the world right now to close it out in this period. Nashville gets the edge in that regard.
Jesus people, Refs are told "if you loose sight of the puck, blow the whistle" he was on Murray's right and couldn't see it squirt loose.
sux but 100% the right call.
every single guy on the panel said he blew that call...Even Ron Maclean who typically sides with the refs
its not like there was a scrum in front of the net where someone could get hurt...seems like he could have waited that 1-2 secs it would have taken to get the back of the net.

I can't see a Pens win tonight being anything other than a bittersweet. Not the level of the Dallas 'foot in the crease' goal, but still a black mark.
At least incidents like this seem to prompt change. That horrendous missed offside in the playoffs a few years ago led to the offside challenge (love it or hate it). Hopefully this display might lead to change, at hopefully that change is a positive.

I heard stuff like "bad break" and "tough luck" but also "what can you do? it's part of the rules"
Get over it. Nashville is getting outplayed and are lucky to be tied.
