The Oilers must be feeling fantastic about themselves. Well, their goalie anyway.
Should/could be about 3 or 4-0 yet here we are tied. Huge for them that the game isn't out of hand already. Get the first one and the way Talbot is playing they could steal a game they shouldn't even be in.

But I would argue that #2 wasn't met by the standard that is usually required.
We usually only see penalty shots when the player is clearly ahead of the defender. Where there is an actual gap between them.
In this case, the defender was partially beside him (definitely no gap)

Not saying Ritchie isn't dumb, but IMO it's worth risking a penalty early in the game to try to rattle Talbot. He's the only reason the Oilers are in this game, and the series for that matter

Just the way things have been going. This series should be over by now with a ducks sweep.
