Yes - I say we give Elliott at least 3 games in the playoffs to prove himself elite...Oh wait.
We can keep blaming luck, or bounces, or calls, but the fact of the matter is good goalies find ways to keep their team in the game. Elliott has done nothing but put us squarely on the path to losses despite the team's best efforts.
Fool me thrice, shame on.....the ice?
I can't argue with anything you have said tbh.
I just think Elliott has shown he can be a great goalie. An inconsistent one at times. But at his best he is an elite goalie. He got us here. He deserves one last chance in my opinion.
Johnson has been terrible and is coming off an injury. Gillies won't play..obviously.
Elliott will be in tonight. He will redeem himself.
This game doesn't have the 0-3 feeling to me for some reason, guessing it's because ...
a) the team is young and it's a good learning opportunity and
b) the team has actually played quite well
I don't necessarily think they will come back, but I'm really intrigued to see them push the game back to Anaheim and then try and cause havoc on Friday night and end that curse.
Usually I'm almost disinterested in these situations but I'm pretty jacked about the game tonight.

I'm on board. It starts today. One win is all they need, then on to the next game, and so on. Besides, it's way more fun as a fan to hope for the win. What's the point of watching and expecting the loss just so you can say "I told you so"! For your own team no less.
I can see Elliott getting the start again. If he lets in a couple goals in short order he'll get yanked though. This is his big chance for redemption. Don't let us down!
We were all hoping to be partying on the Red Mile, but right now it feels more like we're just walking the Green Mile. The inevitable is coming...so might as well just enjoy what we have left of the season and not get too worked up about it.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!' ---and the Flames!

Like a couple of posters have said, if they can win at home and then on the road in Anaheim that would be a victory in my books and then subsequently lose the series it would still be a win in my books. Winning four in a row would be great but it seems like it could be a challenge, especially against the same team. I hope I'm wrong but lets see what happens. Go Flames Go!
