I have to admit this is exactly how Canucks fans described him.

Is it me or was the first goal very much on Johnny as well for his lack luster D?

OKay? That's the definition of not playing defense, which you can't do at the NHL level.

Even beer league players will get on each other if a player gives up on a two on two because he'd rather just hope that the puck goes the other way, magically.

Bartkowski has wheels and backchecks well but when he's on offense you can see him struggling with decision making. Takes too long and almost always puts it in the wrong spot (St. Louis game notwithstanding)

Really hate seeing the third pairing on the ice with the top line. There just aren't enough defensively responsible forwards on that line.

Monahan should backcheck more and be much stronger on the puck.

I don't think anyone is, but he made a dumb shot into skates that often goes the other day for an odd man rush. Gaudreau loafing back into his own end capped off the bumbling.

Defensemen who have played for the Flames this season with a better Fenwick percentage than Bartkowski: Dougie Hamilton, Mark Giordano, T.J. Brodie, Michael Stone, Dennis Wideman, Brett Kulak, Deryk Engelland, Nicklas Grossmann, Jyrki Jokipakka, Tyler Wotherspoon

Defensemen who have played for the Flames this season with a worse Fenwick percentage than Bartkowski:

Players who have played for the Flames this season with a worse Fenwick percentage than Bartkowski: Curtis Lazar

I get that there was a huge winning streak right after he was acquired, and that he looked serviceable, but that shine has long worn off. This guy should be nowhere near the Flames next season.

I thought he was fine most of the night.

Gaudreau, in my mind, is 95% responsible for that last goal.

He also tends to struggle with decision making in the defensive zone too.

Two goals where a guy was left all alone in front with no one around. Yeah, that can't happen. At least those sorts of goals are preventable if people stick to their defensive responsibilities.

Most stars cheat like that...how often is Elliott gonna let out a rebound like that on a shot from the boards?

not saying its right or the right play, it just is what it is

Monahan just on with Steinburg...owned up to his line being bad all night.

Good to hear and shows his maturation.

Hard to believe he and Johnny won't be a lot better on Tuesday.

Did not like Kris Versteeg at the end. Yeah, I get he scored two goals and wanted the hat trick.

Stayed out for a 2:02 shift at the end of the game. When the puck came out and everybody changed he stayed along the boards at the blueline. As the shift goes on he was exausted and could barely move. Because of it makes a bad pass to Gio that crosses the blueline.

Annoying.
