Nashville played a great shutdown, let the goalie do his job, clog it up and counter attack when you have the opportunity game.
It just was not our night, nothing clicked.

He is in a crazy slump. He still plays well but he's basically a grinder. He could turn into a great power forward, maybe he just needs some time. I ain't giving up on him yet.

Teams who have lost 3 in a row this year: Pittsburgh, Washington, Chicago, San Jose, New York, Montreal. Don't jump of the ledge yet, a mini-slump was to be expected after a 10 game win streak. We get Tkachuk back on Saturday and Elliott who has been red hot.

That loss wasn't really on Johnson. I don't think Gulutzan's decision to manage his starting goalie down the stretch is in any way "silly."
If GranteedEV is convinced that the goalie choice was responsible for the loss, then he should take solace in the fact that Elliott will start every playoff game; I don't see any clear indication that Gulutzen will get himself "outcoached" in that event.

Maybe Bennett needs to sit in favour of Lazar.

They really missed Tkachuk tonight. Just for his dump-ins alone. Tkachuk seems to be the only forward who has perfected dump-ins so the goalie can't get it and the the Flames being able to retrieve the puck.

Wouldn't rule us out going on another mini winning run now. We were unlucky to lose in Washington. If those posts are goals early on tonight we walk away with 2 points. Keep the faith!

Lazar wasn't cutting it on the 4th line.

A disappointing lack of execution from pretty much everybody on the Flames

i only got to watch some of the first period, but from what the stats indicate and what some people are saying here the flames were unlucky not to get a point. just like with some tough losses in january - stick with the process, and the results will come.
good to see that brouwer's minutes seemed to get cut, and v happy to see ferland pick up a primary assist.
regroup and hit stl hard with tkachuk and elliott back!
glen pls put andersson in.

Most of the time you should credit the other team for the win, like Tuesday in Washington. The Flames straight up lost this game.

It's from the Ice Ice Baby music video apparently.
Seems like it literally has no meaning, but just gets spammed here all the time for some reason?

Actually Brouwer had a decent game, had one great shot, and was one of the few to be able to carry it into the zone and try to make a difference.|
I thought it was one of his better games in the last month

Bad game all around by the team. I would disagree with Gulutzan's decision with respect to starting goalies. You would not see Montreal or a Chicago coach send in a backup who has been struggling in a big game like this. Big game because the Flames could separate themselves from the second WC spot and gain on Anaheim, Edmonton and San Jose. Want to give Johnson playing time and Elliott a break then wait until you play Colorado next week. The Flames aren't playing on back-to-back that requires the backup to play.
