Entertaining. I chuckle. Guy loves his job and has fun with it. More then I can say about probably half of us regular schmoes

The truth is that most of us would get fired if we performed at our jobs as Principe does his. He's classic Rogers fare in that he's probably accepting a below standard salary to which they are happy to accommodate.

He's an Oilers fan.....of course he will find Gene Príncipe entertaining. As pathetic as he is, he's the most entertaining aspect of that franchise in the last decade.

Principe is like Barney to Oilers fans, almost hypnotic, to the adults in the room though he's completely unbearable.

Clearly you love the leader, the leader is good, the leader is great.

I get it, the Edmonton sponsored sportsnet team is like the Ministry of education in North Korea.

Indoctrination is our mission, ignorance is bliss

I'd be majorly disappointed if I took a job as great as that and constantly took dumps on it. He's gotta change the shtick, it ain't working.

Surprise, McDavid crying that he won the race for icing.

I believe you are correct. But only because Don Taylor has retired (or at least isn't on SN or any other Canadian sports channel afaik).

Muh. I'm not sure he cares what Flames fans think. You don't have to watch if it bothers you that much.

Gene isn't a bad person, he's just a little too goofy and sometimes rubs people the wrong way. Personally I have nothing against him as a person but his jokes can be unbearable at times. You can tell he loves his job though, and that's cool.

That said, he's nowhere near the worst part of the Oilers broadcast. That title belongs to Drew Remenda and it's not even close. That guy is a hack.

Heading into tonight:
P2. Edmonton 65 GP with 78 PTS (31 ROW)
P3. Anaheim 65 GP with 76 PTS (31 ROW)
W1. Calgary 66 GP with 76 PTS (33 ROW)

If EDM and ANA both lose in regulation:
P2. Edmonton 66 GP with 78 PTS (31 ROW)
P3. Calgary 66 GP with 76 PTS (33 ROW)
W1. Anaheim 66 GP with 76 PTS (31 ROW)

Yes please!

I think that it is a scientifically proven fact that Gene Principe is embarrassing.

You remind me of Abe Simpson babbling jibberish

Okay so just an update on my hockey watching:

I switched over from the Ducks game and was greeted with 20 seconds of McDavid talk, with a McDavid stat graphic where the score should be, so I assumed McDavid scored to make it 2-1 Oilers.

Wrong, it was 2-1 Islanders, pleasant surprise. As I was typing this idiocy out they played another segment on how many crossovers MvDavid took the other night.

Then while I was STILL typing this post out they played ANOTHER segment on McDavid's crossovers. You guys are watching this game, you know I'm not making any of this up. Incredible!

Watch Connor sneeze. Watch how he turns his head to switch lanes when driving. Watch him order a burger at the drive-thru. Watch him set his alarm, get up, and make it to the arena on time.

He's the best pro ever.
