I don't know how anyone can say that hockey that season was unwatchable. It was damn near the most watchable hockey ever!!

The pent up excitement in 2004 was unreal. I remember showing up what we assumed was early for game 3 vs. the Canucks, and as we entered the Saddledome, there was a massive crowd erupting cheer. We quickly scramble to a gate to see what is going on, thinking we missed a goal, and it is the Flames coming out for warm-up.
What a great time that run was, regardless of the end result. I'm glad I was young enough to be at all the games, and not pay too badly with hangovers. Later rounds, tailgating in the parking lot, in summer-like weather, oh the mammaries!

Once again....CP's excellent community shines through. Maybe you should request access to create a gallery? then you and all your friends can view it and enjoy it.

I don't want the Flames to trade for Bishop so hopefully the Flames can make him look bad tonight.
Sign him in the summer, yeah maybe, but it's not the time to spend assets on a goalie rental.

The fact Tkachuk is a point away from 40 with 22 games to go is pretty awesome

As a 9 year old who came from a family that did not watch hockey or follow sports the Flames run in 2004 changed everything for me. It made me fall in love with Hockey and turned me into a lifelong Flames fan. Will forever be grateful for all the hard working muckers on that team who truly never gave up and without them I have no idea if I would've fallen in love with the game I cherish so much. What a run it was.

What a run that was. The 2004 flames will always be one of my favourite flames teams. Now let's pound the piss out of Tampa!

I rather they trade for him before committing to him in the summer. Similar to Stone get a good 20 game audition and decide from there. I would only give up Elliott/Johnson and a conditional 2nd/1st based off how far we go in the playoffs. If Bishop gets us to the WCF it is a 1st otherwise it is a 2nd

I was at game 6 against Detroit. When Gelinas scored that OT goal I jumped so high out of my seat I lost my footing briefly and just about fell into the row in front of us. That was the loudest I've ever heard the Dome. The "go Flames go" chant just before the anthems was absolutely deafening, and it was even louder after they won. Then being on the Red Mile, hugging strangers and high-fiving cops...so much fun. That was such a magical time to be a Flames fan.
