My guess is Toronto wants a depth blueliner. Will trade Frankie Corrado.

Might be a mid/late round draft pick with the Flames eating a lot of salary.

I really think if he's traded it'll be on deadline day. Wideman's base salary for this year is 6 million with a caphit of 5.25 mill. That works out to 73 grand a game... Dennis Wideman is making 73 grand per game.

Goodnight everyone.

You're clearly undervaluing the brilliance of CP.

Are you sure they're talking about Dennis Wideman and not Chris Wideman?

Leslie: "More than 1 team interested in acquiring Wideman" LOL!

I say BS! No way! Don't believe it at all. I think the Flames said to Leslie, do us all a solid and start a rumor fire to maybe generate some interest, and we'll do you a favor and leak something to you later

^ Guys, let's stay on topic (I'm just saying what the Moderator account said)

It's been floated around here quite a bit, but I've got to wonder if Pittsburgh is a possible destination for Wideman with some salary retained. They seem to do a really good job of revitalizing mediocre offensive defensemen.

But Wideman skates like he's 70. Maybe if they install a pacemaker.
