Would have been a great pass by Johnny if we were on the PP

Gaudreau really needs to drive the net once in a while. This stop and turn is so easy to defend when our d-men aren't activating.

Solid effort so far by the Flames, but man, this game is frustrating. Pens are so good defensively and they seem to get their sticks on everything.
Johnson has looked good.

Good chances to finish out a good period.
Bit sloppy around each net so far.

I missed it on the broadcast they were talking about 2 players in practice, fighting about a trip or something? Anyone have details?

Said that Bouma fell during practice and thought Gio had tripped him.
Gio said he didn't touch Bouma, but the 2 argued throughout practice.
Hrudey was saying that's not a bad thing, as having teammates fired up is good if it stays in check. They also said that this isn't why Bouma is out tonight, probably has more to do with the big check he took from Klein last game. Or just an opportunity to get Hathaway in.

Bouma thought Gio tripped him and he went awkwardly into the boards or something. They chirped back and forth a bit. GG said he liked the intensity.

Solid 1st period. Tough luck with bouncy pucks in front of the net, but the energy and the passion were there.
If the Flames played all year like they have in NY and so far tonight, I would be happy, regardless of how many games they won or lost.

Thanks all. Not sure I agree with GG's assessment, seems like a team on edge. I may be wrong but I don't think there should be animosity towards a teammate. Isn't this why everyone hated Emery?

A little OT but does anyone have access to the Little Brother Dougie video?
Back on topic it seems like our D are having a few issues with their breakouts.

Hathaway's a good interview. Seems like a good guy, hope he sticks with the Flames for awhile. Solid 4th liner.
