I'm sure I won't make any friends with this one, but I would outright ban smoking in public. I hate going out for some fresh air and wandering into some cloud of cigarette smoke, or wading through a crowd of smokers at the entry way to a building, or the idiots who don't want their own apartments/homes to smell of it, but don't mind standing next to your windows and smoking. I would bring down the ban hammer.

I would have much stricter laws against, and consequences for, animal abusers.

I'd declare Rogers place arena as a communal toilet bowl and have all sewage in Edmonton diverted to the lower bowl. Dogs who dont deficate in the arena would get their owner getting fined. I'm still pushing to build a wall around Edmonton. It can even be turned into a prison like "Escape from New York".

Normally I would put this type of thing in the gear grinder thread but due to the extreme nature of my morning, I feel like my ramblings belong here, lest you all think I'm a homicidal maniac.

This all occurred during my five minute drive to and from Walmart to pick up a couple household items this morning.

My first order of business as dictator is to have the following people killed:

The jack ass piece of #### who turned left onto a 3 lane road into the far right lane. Which of course was my lane and was a new lane for right turning cars. Visualize the level of ineptitude here. I'm turning right and have my own new lane. This ####### swings across 3'lanes and almost tbones by driver side door. And he had no reason to be in my lane. It's not like there was an imminent right turn approaching.

The dumb ####ing piece of #### who then blew a stop sign to my right at a 3 way stop. ########## almost tboned my passenger side. No wave. Nothing. ####ing moron just sat there looking at me with a stupid look on his face like he was wondering why I slammed on the brakes in the intersection.

The ####ing moron driving on the sidewalk at Walmart outside the store.

The ####ing piece of #### #### who ran the yield to enter the traffic circle and almost tboned me. Then this ####ing dumb #### missed her exit and just slammed on her ####ing brakes. I narrowly avoided rear ending her.

Thankfully all these incidents were avoided because I'm not a ####ing moron like these people all are. I also pay attention and have sweet winter tires that helped me make last second maneuvers to avoid accidents.

1) Force all oiler fans to stitch oiler logos on their clothing so that they cannot hide among the general populace.

2) Force anyone who has found to have praised the oilers in the past to go to "re-education" camp

- Full unencumbered freedom of speech, no limitations. Say whatever you like (but be prepared to be sued for libel, defamation, damages etc. caused by lies).
- Reinforce private property rights (e.g. if I want to allow smoking in my pub, I should be able to. If you don't like smoking, don't come in.).
- Comprehensive publicly-funded support system of disabled persons, children, elderly overseen by elected citizen review panels/boards. Public administrations must report to panels and do what they say.
- Flat-rate taxation system of individuals based on a combination of net income and net worth. Amount of taxation re-assessed each year to support an approved public spending budget.
- Federal and provincial parties must present their comprehensive balanced 4-yr budgets during elections and cannot change them without referendums or new elections.
- Obligate non-ruling parties to maintain and keep "shadow" public budgets to illustrate how they'd spend public money.
- All political candidates standing for elections must have a minimum of college education level and at least 10 years of meaningful work/business experience before they can run for elections.
- Mandatory money management, financial education and family education in all schools. Also, mandatory 1-hr minimum of sports and physical activity every school day from K to 12.
- Public funding for arts is decided by public voting on artistic competitions, not bureaucrats.
- Oh, yeah, and no import tariffs on Belgian beer!
