I'm in the market for a new Jeep - think I'll find a deal on a Wrangler before 2017?

Jayswin, not saying you are wrong at all. Yet at least back it up with some comments on people who own this tv.

Let me go one step further, PC people get so uptight around here.

You just labeled a manufacturer "avoid at all costs". Cause you heard they were not good!

I heard all Muslims were not good the other day too! All Jews are awful, and Catholics want to rule the world!

Can you please add to why RCA tvs are not good? I don't care what you have heard, just facts.

I am an ass I know this. I apologize right now, but if you could please share info that would be great!

Why is RCA so bad?
Known a couple people who bought them and from reading a hell of a lot of reviews for myself. Not interested in any level of discussion past that based on your post, though. Others have chimed in to, to help you out.

Chubeyr1, before jayswin even posted his RCA comment, resulting in your mini meltdown, you yourself stated-

Quote:
I know RCA is a lower brand

RCA used to be a good brand
Ummm, so you essentially said the same thing as jayswin. And like jayswin, I am guessing you are basing your comments on anecdotal evidence and the reputation RCA seems to have around the web- hence jayswin stating "I've heard"... So what gives?

Yeah, a few good TV deals but not much else. I mean of course there's decent deals but unless I'm romanticizing the "old days" the last few years just aren't really what they used to be on boxing day.

It's been getting worse the last few years for sure. One of the last few places I've found with good deals was outerwear, and even that's falling by the wayside.

However with MSRP ~30% higher this year thanks to the weak dollar, a sale of 30% off this year is basically regular price two years ago. So that certainly doesn't help.

One would think they would still have surplus inventory left over from Christmas.

I guess, but the US has never had a specific, country wide shopping day or week for it.

Beer is $16.97 for a 30 pack so that more than makes up for it. But they make you buy two to get that price.

Not rieally a deal, but we just came home from red deer - the lineup on cars waiting to get into cross iron mills was crazy. All the way back to stony trail. It was easy to imagine a two hour wait just to get parked.

I can't see any deal being worth it.

Thats why you shop downtown. Nearly peaceful shopping considering it is boxing day.

It was indeed busy, but not enough to get on my stress like Chinook/Cross Iron

Once Canadian chains got in on the black Friday thing the sales have gotten harder to come by. Retailers have simply blended black friday/cyber monday/christmas/boxing week into a single stretch sale, and pretty much killed the actual sales in the process.

Right now best buy has a banner on their site claiming the boxing week sales end on Dec 29th.... I'm willing to wager they extend that into January.

Pretty crappy deals this year. Basically just another weekly sale everywhere.
