Took a bit of a run at him and caught him with the elbow. He deserved the two minutes he got, but he usually gets away with those types of plays, so he was really surprised the refs called it.

Yep great pick by the Canucks. I know, I know, some are going to reply and say the Finn could be a great defenceman but I'll reply with how many Finn d-men develop into great NHL defenceman? You could probably count them on one hand. I know all players aren't the same from every country but I think there's something to that. Finland just doesn't develop great defenceman and where the Canucks picked him, he better be great.

Hit him late, a little high. Cheap. Not super violent.
The hits that pissed me off were the McGinn on Versteeg hit - absolute flying elbow, directly to the head, that's 5 and a game - and the Johnny hit on the goal, Gologoski was pretty rough with that hit and it was clean but thought we should have responded to that like Engs did to the Versteeg hit.
3:17 CST and I can't sleep. Figured that I should do something.
Real question is why are you up so early replying to this?

That...I...well you see...
Alright you got me.

Yikes, I got really worried that a game was starting soon.
I'm in Australia and it's almost midnight here, so seeing this thread, I thought I'd have to be awake at like 1 or 2am to watch a match.
Don't do that to me.

Mr Tippet, please remove head from your ___________, and have a look at the following stat.
Coyotes record with Deangelo = 7-5-4…pretty respectable. This is a record that would definitely get you into playoffs if played over 82 games.
Coyotes record without Deangelo = 4-10-1… abysmal. This is a record to definitely get you yet another shot at that elusive #1 pick.
Looking deeper into games Deangelo has played…. 16 total. 7 at home, 9 on road

Perlini, DeAngelo scratches?

I'm sorry guys but I just don't get why Tony D is a healthy scratch??? The guy has been great on offense while improving on D. PLAY THE YOUNG MAN!

Elliot handed this game to the Coyotes. Pretty drastic fall from grace for him.

Flames stole the signature Yotes move... Get a goal and then instant penalty.

Absolutely pathetic 5 on 3

Here at gila everyone was booing that 5 on. 3

This team will never go anywhere when our 4th line is our best line. I would like to bring up the fact that Dave Tippett refuses to change anything. He says we need execution but his system does not work for players like Duclair. It works for grinders like White, Jooris, and some extent Martinook and Rieder. I can't blame it all on Tip but something has got to change. Even if this is me being misinformed on the coaching of hockey the players aren't buying what he is selling and I'm worried that this organization put too much stock into him and a young GM not having the confidence to fire him.
I'm not into scapegoats. Again I won't put everything on Tippett. These players are all NHL hockey players and need to be competitive but this is just sad and something has to shake up this locker-room because all I've seen from this year is regression
The Oilers’ “Tampa”

Can't the Coyotes do anything right? (Besides against the Oilers.)

I'm already prepared for another loss to them Wednesday, I really don't want Doan to score his 400th against us.
Quote:
the Yotes look like an AHL team for everybody except the Oilers
they needed two lucky goals to keep it close tonight
bank on a 3-1 Coyotes win Wednesday with Mike Smith looking like Domink Hasek for 50 minutes of the game

Captain Doan takes a stupid penalty, whines, and then watches the Flames dummy the Coyotes' PK.
Quote:
if that 5 on 3 was against the Oilers, the Yotes would've taken the lead
Quote:
I am not convinced the Coyotes are actually trying to win hockey games against the other 28 NHL teams.
Quote:
Please exit the league Coyotes.
