Agreed, these are scouts from playoff teams seeking more experienced players such as Bouma & Wideman. I would assume the end goal for the Flames is to either upgrade at right wing or acquire a physical defensemen.

I'm sure this is the goal, but I don't believe the presence of scouts at a game has any bearing whatsoever on whom the coach chooses to dress from one night to the next.
