They weren't expected to win in recent games against NYI, Toronto, Minnesota, and Dallas? I certainly expected to win these games.

They lost to Islanders. Beat the sh@t out of Anaheim.

Damn losing Versteeg again really sucks, he's been great and seemed to be a catalyst in getting Mony going. I really hope this rib injury isn't a lingering issue all season.
That being said, if we can win without Johnny then we've got nothing to worry about! I'll hit panic if something happens to Johnson, other than that, this team has me pretty confident that their system is what's winning them games.

I am aware of that. The point is that I expected the Flames to win that game, as I have expected the same of them for several games over the past two weeks.
Did you have different expectations?

Flames could easily lose this or win this. Hopefully they pull out a win and keep the streak going!

I'm pretty nervous about Versteeg out and Elliot in. We're playing strong right now, but long winning streaks are tough to keep going, even the contenders don't get many, and a little change can end them on a bad night.
Hopefully we push through tonight and pick up a win.

Maybe he meant it from a betting perspective. They were the underdogs in all of those games until this one I believe. I could be mistaken but this is one of the first games they are the favorites on the score app in quite a while.

That must be it. But even then the comment doesn't make much sense to me. Players are not obsessing about the Vegas odds on their chances going into every game.

Oh I agree and I have no idea if that's even what he meant. Just my best guess lol. Either way, hopefully they keep rolling.

Probably having trouble with his gloves because hes wearing a goalie's blocker!

Johnson in the starters net again.
Amazing. I still think you need to get Elliott back on a roll too at some point.

Absolutely. But now is not the time.
I agree with others who have suggested that barring a collapse Johnson should start the next four, and then insert Elliot into one of the back-to-backs on 19–20 December.
