Not a bad period from the Flames. Monahan is coughing up the puck a lot in both zones. Not really much sustained pressure from the Flames aside from the 45 seconds from Bennett Gaudreau line.

I usually roll my eyes when people complain a lot about the refs, but that was ####ing ridiculous. There's only two possibilities: the Flames are still paying for the Wideman thing, or those refs have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Take your pick.

I heard the following words:
-icing line (referring to the goal line)
-button hook (one of our guys doing a tight turn)
-interchange (referring to guys changing on the fly)
-rag it out (the Flames not really playing at the end of the period)
I love Fox Sports haha

Pretty good period by the Flames despite the goal against. Lots of energy, speed, good forecheck, crisp passing. If they can maintain this effort level, the chances will come.
