Might have something to do with your body having an auto shut down mode when clocked in the jaw hard enough. Obviously not the medical term for what happened but that is what happens.

Great game by the Flames. Started a bit slow, but they got better as the game wore on. Very strong defensively, Johnson was solid again, and the PK continues to be really strong. PP looked a little better tonight as well. Nice to finally see one go in with the extra man.

Offensively they still lack finish, but good teams find ways to win close games, and the Flames are doing a lot of that lately. I think Gaudreau will add some much needed offensive flair to the lineup when he gets back, and hopefully the PP will start producing more as a result.

That's probably not a good thing.

Miss the old hard hat.

But still better than a Harley biker helmet.

The Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik line is such a treat to watch, they were beyond intense every shift in the third period.

Great win, The Chad is rad.

My only complaint is he needs to shoot the puck more. He had a chance to go to the net on the OT PP and chose to pass instead.

It wasn't a knockout, it wasn't a flash knockout, you're talking gibberish. He dove. It's okay to admit when one of your players, your captain does. Giordano has been one of the biggest divers in Calgary for years now. This is nothing new. Watch the play again and again and again if you must.

Chad "The Rock" Johnson is one cool customer, as evidenced by his bitchin fanny pack.

I'd go option 2. Still want Bennett developed at centre.

It's means the Flames are garbage with the empty net. I think they've allowed an ENG every time they've been down by 1 late except for once, and I can't recall any empty netters that the Flames have scored.

I wonder what the record would be if you ignored ENGs.

But yeah, we're legitimately the first team out with a lot more road games than home games played. So we're definitely in the mix again!

Why is this a thing? For the last 20 years (or whenever it was they made sticks to the face automatic penalties), every player in the league does everything they can to draw attention when a stick makes any kind of contact to the face. In this instance it looked like it actually had a little more meat behind the contact than most.
