What about plastic guards that start after his elbow pads stop and wrap down over the wrist? Some sort of cuff protection - my dad's Eastons have something similar to this built in, but I doubt it matters much against an NHL player's slash.
For all the times Johnny seems to feel it on the hands/fingers in addition to the wrists, I wonder if a layer of plastic shielding across the top of the glove in lieu of fabric is possible as well.

Little bit of the shine taken off the win with Johnny's injury. But you have to credit the team. So solid all night long.

I thinking earlier he needs some chain mail gloves on those hands

Yay for victory, boo for slashes. We may never lose again and Johnny needs his wrists to get bubble wrapped before each game. Maybe get UPS as a sponsor that'd be great. Or those packing peanuts, fill up his gloves to the brim with them and just get crazy out there.

Happy for Johnson and the team getting the shut out. Much needed moral boost.
Disappointing to see Gulutzan watch his star players get treated like a piece of kindling and not say boo to the refs during the game. Not sending any kind of message back until your player is knocked out of the game is inexcusable. It is not solely up to the players. Behind the bench has to step the hell up.

Fourth line was awesome to see. Tkachuk also looked good in his first game back. Frolik and Backlund solid again.
That said, Wideman and Chaisson still make too many bad/dumb plays for my liking. Monahan penalty on the 5 on 3 was facepalm worthy as well.
Looking forward to the boys go for two in a row at home tomorrow. Very winnable even on a back-to-back. Will be interesting if Johnson gets another start or if they go back to Elliott.

Re Brouwer: That's disgusting.
Back in my playing days, I once saw a teammate lose a half of a tooth from a butt-end. I lost some sleep that night.

Johnson was great this evening. Wideman had a great game, along with Engelland. Hathaway was dangerous.
Sorry to see the Johnny slashes, ref's need to get on it, because it's not defensive it's intentional. Johnny was our best forward.
Monahan and Sam Bennett continue to be in some forrest they can't get out of.

Minnesota Goons.
..
Anyways. Hell yeah Chas Johnson! Happy for the Calgary native. This is surely going to push Elliott to be better too.
