The lines are so scrambled every game that it takes me half a period to figure out who is who.

Ok, so I'm noticing the Hartley system of guys leaking out up ice, and then the d-men fire a hard pass at a forward who tips it in deep, and the other two guys go hard at the puck. Literally Hartley's system from the last couple of years...and the Flames are playing better.
Is Gulutzan realizing that this system might give the Flames the best chance to win? Maybe Bob wasn't such a bad coach after all.

Johnson has definitely been much more solid than Elliott this year.

Hartley's system got the best out of our top dmen cause they could play to their strengths. Changing that has killed what was our teams greatest strength - it's active blue line. Gaudreau and Monahans games suffered when the D were no longer there helping lead/keep plays alive in the o-zone. They could only make one and done plays up ice without the extra help from the D.

It doesn't have to be used all the time, but the stretch pass keeps teams honest. Chicago uses it effectively.
The best thing glue gun can do is take notes on what DID work and use it, not tell the team they can never play that way again.

I can't watch tonight, but it sounds like they're playing good. Maybe that's a sign I should stop watching games

If they can maintain this play for the rest of the game they should win.

I really like the 4th line of Ferland - Hamilton - Hathaway. Feels like they have a clear identity and excel at it.
