I admittedly didn't see the entire game, but it didn't look like Bennett was playing that poorly. Was he seriously benched because of the penalty, or was he truly having a terrible game?

He's been a little undisciplined, but the last few penalties I've seen him take haven't been blatantly bad penalties, but rather bad luck.

PP still needs serious work. Refs were brutal tonight but eh, at least it helped pad the PK stats.
I think you might have missed the memo on what constitutes a fun, celebratory post-game gif.

I thought Gio was strong. Complementary players keeping this team afloat right now. Come on Monahan and Gaudreau...
Engelland good too.

Good to get a win, and Tkachuk and Johnson played great tonight.

Thought that some poor coaching decisions were going to lose us the game in the third. Benching Bennett for the whole third period for the penalty in the second. Thought GG should have given him a chance to redeem himself, and certainly missed him in the third. Instead Monahan getting extra time for his poor effort, and turnovers. Had me scared every time their line was on the ice.

I'm definitely confused as to how they are running the bench.

Theyve looked like a playoff calibre team ever since the back to back wins against Chicago and St. Louis IMO

I love Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik

It soothes the pains of a neutered top line.

And not some lazy second assist. Both times heading up ice leading the rush into the zone and pushing the defenseman back.

First one gave MT the space to walk in, the second gave the space to Frolik both to get the puck and make a play, and DE cleared the front of the net for the pass to go across. Vital and highly underrated play by DE.

That Elliott save at the death in the first Chicago game saved the season. They would have been 1-5-1

Could very feasibly have had points in 6 straight. Just no breaks vs Washington and tough break against Chicago.

But still some things need ironing out, without a doubt...

Wow, disagree. Outside of Chicago on the road, St.Louis on the road and tonight... pretty marginal to poor overall.

Lots to still work on.
