I always thought it would be funny to hand out cans of chefboyardee, but then I also thought some kids might not think it's funny, and I'd get a can of it returned through one of my windows.

That would suck to haul around as a kid. I remember one year someone was giving out those 1L bottles of Pepsi (Mega bottle or whatever it was called.) I thought it was awesome but it really weighed my bag down. A kilo of candy probably would have been better.

No kids so far and we didn't get any last year. Neighbours and I must have scared them all away.

I just had a kid wearing a beat up cardboard box. He couldn't wait to tell me he was damaged goods.

There are literally hundreds of kids walking the streets outside, and yet we've had very few at our house. It's sad, my wife puts tons of time and effort into decorating the house, it's easily the coolest house in the neighbourhood, inflatables, hay bales, cobwebs, music, strobe lights... The works.
I think she may have overdone it though, maybe the little ones find it too scary, even though that's not at all the vibe we were going for.

We've had about 50. It's nasty outside here though. Kids all wearing snowsuits over their costumes. I took my almost 3 year old out for the first time. We hit five houses and then ran back home to the fire. After a warm-up and costume change my wife is taking her back out.

We had about 160 this year. A bit annoyed with the last group of bigger kids who came by at 920 ringing the bell when all our lights are out and my kids are in bed.

We have had less this year compared to last year. I don't bother counting but I've only gone through a box of 90 candy bars and I give 4 or so per kid.
