Is it freaking worth keeping Mitchell out there? Seeing those Als defense trying to sack Mitchell scares the crap out of me.

I hope that TD stands, Tommie Campbell deserves it.

Edit: Incomplete pass, too bad.

Are you freaking serious? Check the score Chapdelaine.. i can't stand the challenge now. Challenge if the score is close not when it is lopsided with a few seconds left. Garbage.

Montreal offense scored while Cato on the sideline. Cato came back and did not get the 2-point conversion. Hmmm..

Good god Chappy didnt do himself any favors tonight by keeping Cato in. Kid has a lot of bad habits who is very immature. Should have seen what they have with Adams. What a dumpster fire they are as well.

Just got home from the game. Kyries Hebert may be the dirtiest piece of #### I have ever seen play in the CFL. Its relentless all game. I'm surprised some receiver hasnt ear holed him when he isn't looking. I don't usually advocate injuries, but I'd love to see someone end his career.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings either considering he pretty much ended the career of the best running back in the cfl at the time with a dirty despicable clothesline.

Can't believe that Cato never got pulled. He was dreadful, Montreal didn't gain 100 yards of offence until 10 minutes to go.

Too bad Mitchell had to end the shutout bid. Imagine he'll hear a lot about that from his teammates this week!

As everyone here knows, defence wins football games in November. So I am satisfied with today's win even though the offence sputtered in the 1st half. I've stopped wondering why Dickenson leaves Mitchell in the game - its seems they just want to keep doing what works. Mitchell plays it pretty safe when the game is in the bag - and he is surprisingly elusive when he needs to be.

The oddest bit tonight was watching Cato in the 4th. Like he totally gave up at QB. Keeping him on the roster will destroy the Als. I feel bad for Nik Lewis. He deserves better than this.

As for the fans in the stands, i'm as guilty as the next person for watching on TSN. But seriously why does the CFL schedule the game at 5 pm on the 1st Saturday of HNIC ????????? And since Ken King runs the team, you would have expected him to notice this? OK not.

I think John Hufnagel would be surprised by this development.

Teams have little say on broadcast times. That goes to the TV rights holders who pay to show the games.

Blame TSN if you like, but when should they be playing games?

Would have been a perfect day for a afternoon start.

Then they would have been going against the Jays game and i would think that would have a bigger audience than even the HNIC game.

Yeah OK what I meant to say was the Flames own the Stampeders so surely someone in head office would realize its not a great idea to host an evening football game in October which overlaps with night #1 of HNIC. I would have thought even TSN would know better than to put its CFL broadcast against the opening HNIC.

The Jays game is just poor timing ... can't schedule around that one. But the hockey conflict is avoidable.

Maybe the team and coaching staff don't like afternoon games and would prefer, preparation wise, to play in the evening.

Nothing more to be said, just an absolute dominant team, which makes the pressure of going 2-0 in the playoffs in a few weeks completely up to them to overcome the mental side of not beating themselves. A bye week the last week of the year means a two week break between games, which could be an issue.

It's actually more complex than you think.

The whole season's game schedule is predetermined way before the season has begun, so that would mean last night's game start time was already planned back as late as may, or even earlier

You may not have noticed the Riders vs Argos game which preceded the Stamps vs Als game, and there's no way TSN would over lap the two broadcasts

you also have to consider the broadcast for the Al's fan base as they are in the EST. a game time of 7pm - 10pm is what they would be viewing in Montreal.

then there's the NHL's side of things where the Canucks have their own scheduling to deal with, with considerations of an earlier game on HNIC

it's not as easy as Ken King telling people to schedule the Stamps game for an earlier time or a different day
