I agree, he tells the guy nice pass instead of celebrating his first hat trick. You can tell he knows he is going to score plenty more in his career.

Stepan did, 3 shots in the game and 3 goals.
Though it took him until 1:40 left in the 2nd to get his hatty. Like a chump.

It's gotta be, probably by at least a week.
Crosby didn't get his first until his third game. Mario famously scored on his first shift, first shot but I don't know what he did after that one. I assume they'd mention it if he got a hat trick. Gretzky got one assist in his first game.
EDIT: I guess I'm wrong, going by what was posted above.

Cloutier had played a bunch of games in the WHL and Brunnstrom had played in Europe, so they get asterisks IMO.

Yeah, fair enough but Matthews was a kid, so now is the same age as every other normal rookie. I don't think Brunnstrom was. And Cloutier was a very established star.
