Justin Fontaine was on a PTO with Dallas, but got released.
RW, Albertan, but probably a 4th liner at best at this point.
Kris Versteeg still hasn't signed with Edmonton.
Everybody else is pretty meh. Bourque (COL), Prust (TOR), Ruutu and Skille (VAN).

Devin Setoguchi apparently still very much in the mix to make it with the LA Kings right now.

I apologize in advance to anyone who has had an evil step dad that was horrible to them. In case this is you (and I feel terrible for you), you probably want to skip this post.
The Canucks have always been like that distant cousin that shows up for that yearly family function - and sometimes doesn't show up at all much to everyone's relief. He is obnoxious, he is annoying, and you just simply want to punch him in the face. However, you know he is mostly irrelevant other than the occasional meet-up. That is the Canucks to me. I have 'hated' them altogether for less than 10 seasons, with only 5 or 6 being consecutive.
The Oilers? Heck, they are like that evil step dad that some people have. You know - the type that ridicules the step-son and tries to destroy his self-esteem daily. The starvation tactics. The beatings. Maybe even more terrible stuff. That is the Oilers to me. For half of the 80's they basically had their way with the Flames. People forget the abuse the players took at their hands, both on the ice and on the scoreboard. We then had to sit sick to our stomachs and watch them lift the cup.
We have grown up, punched that stupid stepdad right in the nose, and he has been irrelevant ever since. Doesn't mean I will ever stop hating him. Doesn't mean I will ever feel sorry for them. Heck, I get mad with all the media outlets feeling sorry for them, and it is completely sickening hearing them proclaim them as the next great dynasty, and 'building something special', and 'doing it the right way'. Tanking is not doing anything the right way.
Then I have to put up with their insufferable fanbase who just keep parroting the same story every year about how special they are, and how they have all this elite talent, and how the Flames will never be successful because they don't.
Yeah, Oilers will always be that evil step dad to me, even though he is feeble and useless, and is confused and wears sweatpants with good shoes, and often goes out with his best pair of underwear worn over the above sweatpants. He still wears a T-Shirt full of holes, and where there isn't holes all you see is stains, but he has seen to it to embroider a McDavid 97 on it, and has drawn-in the 6th cup.
Oilers suck, and there is no other team I would rather cheer against. Vancouver could have 6 Burrows and 6 Keslers, and I doubt I would hate them as much as Edmonton still.

Looks like he was basically demoted to the AHL immediately afterwards:

I see Brayden Schenn is going to miss the first three games of the year due to a suspension for a hit in the preseason.

Last time I checked, Iginla had more points than Colborne, but fewer than Bourque.

Some underage junior news: Barzal/Beauvillier expected to be on NYI 23-man roster; D Strome/Crouse/Chychrun will make ARI's 23-man roster.
Steve Kournianos @TheDraftAnalyst
Provorov/Konecny (PHI), Tkachuk (CGY), Sergachev (MTL), Zacha (NJD), Chabot (OTT), Point (TB), Marner (TOR) are some CHL'ers to start in NHL

I figured that would happen with Crouse. He was a very, very late cut last year in Panthers camp.
That was a huge win trade for the Coyotes. They've got a lot of good young players on that team now. I wonder if it'll be similar to the World Cup Team NA, lots of speed and excitement, and occasionally making life hell for the really good teams, but ultimately fall short. Don't look now, but the Coyotes are going to be in the playoff conversation very soon. Probably sooner than the Oilers.

You have watched Dave Tippet's Arizona Coyotes before, right?

I dunno. Starting the season with four rookies in your forward core seems like a real Oilers thing to do.
Seems like the exact opposite thing of what you should do to develop young players.
