Honestly I think he is better. As a Flames fan I would be very concerned about Edmonton if their top 4 was Trouba-Klefbom-Larsson-Sekeras. Maybe not this year but that is flat out scary going on a going forward basis.
If I was EDM I would trade Nurse+ for him without hesitation. Obviously some money would have to be shipped out as well to make it happen.

You frighten too easily.
That's a decent top four compared to their atrocious hot-mess at present, but far from "scary".

Matthew Sekeres points out this is the same agent that got Turris out of Arizona.

He has been the GM of the team for 5 years, snuck into a wild card spot once and otherwise site on his hands while he window dresses his mediocre roster. That has been his track record to date

Our own Brian Elliot is also a client of the same agent. Other notables other than Turris who were moved to new teams after stalls in talks are Ryan Johanssen and Kerby Rychel.

Worst GM in history? Pretty close to Milbury territory.

well look, I'm not going to sit here and defend him too much. His handling of Pavelec was terrible, and turning down Froliks 4x4 was stupid too. But this scenario came up a year and a bit ago and the Jets did very well.

I meant more from the view of their overall team at that point. Their forwards already look very good and would surely benefit from such an upgrade to their top 4. As a unit, it would rank in the top 10 imo.

The same gm that complains about the need to change the culture from Atlanta then proceeds to re-sign the same core he said needs to be changed.
Worst gm in the league. Yes, worse than Benning because Benning actually tries improve his team, not saying the results are there but better than sitting on your hands and doing nothing.

No need to waste assets for another d-man when he'll just be claimed by Vegas.

Yep. He was never happy playing in Canada. I imagine his agent has told any interested Canadian teams that he will not sign with them if traded.

Pretty funny seeing people assess a GM by how many trades he makes. Ken Holland says hi.

Trouba for Hamonic + Barzal would be pretty close in value I would think and would make sense for both clubs.

I would deal Nurse +17 first if I'm Chia. Hard to gauge what Winnipeg will be able to get back. People will say a player of Hall's caliber needs to go back but I don't believe that's true. Hall returned a very similar Dman as Trouba but Larsson is locked up long term at a good cap hit(and played 1st pairing minutes with no pp time). Trouba's contract demands might be a huge factor into the price teams are willing to pay for him.

Now watch New Jersey trade Hall for Trouba.
