A cop shooting someone dead is always controversial. The families always say something else could have been done, and the press gives them a platform to make denunciations of the police. If the person shot dead is non-white, advocacy groups step in to use the case to raise awareness.

Besides Mantracker trying to make his way through dense forests, who the hell needs a machete anyways?

####ing marlborough station. What a #### hole that place is. I think I've had a knife pulled on me 6 times there growing up. They should cleanse it with fire.

I grew up in the NE and had to use the train from Marlborough station. I never had a knife pulled on me. None of my friends who would catch a train from Marlborough had that happen to them. If anyone thinks that train station is "ghetto", they need to travel a bit more and see the world.

I mean it's not like a knife attack hasn't ever happened in other areas of the city.

The T&T Supermarket in Marleborough is one of the best places to get groceries in the entire city.
The whole area is a bit of a hodge-podge, and certainly run-down, but also has some of the greatest cultural heterogeneity in Calgary. Lots of great little shops and restaurants in that area. A heck of a lot more interesting than Kensington or whatever.

The only place I ever had a knife pulled on me was at Canyon Meadows station like 14 years ago.
They got 6 dollars and a bus ticket.

That guy is horribly inconsistent with his test phase blade strokes, which really bothers the scientist in me. He'll slice a pig in half with the blade properly parallel on one test, but the then on the next weapon he slaps the pig with the flat side of the blade bending it like a banana before proudly holding it up saying it will not keeeeil.

The only train station that I ever had a knife pulled on me was at Dalhousie Station in the 'supposedly affluent' NW.
