Croatia - Serbia in the water polo gold medal match.

Sort of like India - Pakistan in a cricket final, isn't it?

Wow just noticed Russia has a ton of medals. How many of their athletes ended up being allowed to compete?

What did I dish? Saying I don't like the medal count?

If Canada had more golds and less overall medals you'd be singing a different tune.

Extra time required between Brazil and Germany to decide gold.

So who is going to be named the Flag Bearer for the Closing Ceremonies?

I'm sure it will be Penny, but is there someone else?

You have to think it'll be Penny, assuming she's still in Rio. De Grasse is a possibility. Dunfee, the race walker could be picked as well because people liked his sportsmanship after the race.

Great to see Brazil win, they deserve a wonderful win and a long time in coming. Congrats to any expat Brazilians who frequent the site. This is the athletic soccer that they are known for.
