Yeah that's bull####. She just hasn't shown the consistency, but she's certainly shown glimmers of hope. The fact almost all of her problems are in her head isn't because of the fame, it's because she's never recovered from the thrashings she took in 2014 after making the Wimbledon final. When she gets over that (or if she does I suppose), she'll be fine. It's women's tennis, it's always more about mental than actual game.

Record last year at this time on the WTA tour: 9-14
Record this year at this time on the WTA tour: 26-17
It's an ongoing process, but it's definitely getting better. It's all between the ears right now (mental approach and confidence).

Canada vs Serbia right now in women's basketball. Excellent 4th quarter, as Canada ties it up. It's on TSN.

Were down 15 points and came back to tie Serbia in 4th.
Canada playing the press.
Takes the lead, 63-61!

LOL. Yep, 22 year old athlete, totally done. She just lost to the worlds 2nd ranked player, I don't really see it as a huge step backwards for Eugenie. She beat Sloane Stephens who was ranked in the 20s while Eugenie is currently 40th. I think there are certainly glimmers that she is on the right track. 3 of her last 5 WTA tournaments she has made it to the round of 16. I have to repeat that she is 22 years old.

Wow! What a three point shot to secure the win. Loved the way Kia Nurse was controlling the ball and lane to dish it off for the three.

Yep. Great game by the basketball ladies with an absolutely clutch 3pt to close. Pretty exciting finish to beat Serbia.

Dang, had no idea Stephen Ave has a big tv screen set up and a bunch of seats for viewing. Walked up literally just as the Canada basketball game ended, watched everyone cheer and didn't know what it was even for (was coming from the East side, behind the TV).
That's a sweet setup, I may have to go for a "bathroom break" during the second half of Canada rugby's bronze medal game..

How do the divers manage to keep their Speedos on when they hit the water? I'm amazed there isn't any equipment malfunctions.

Haha Rd of 16 is one way of putting it. Or you can say she's made it out of the 3rd round once in 2016 and that was at a 3rd tier tune up tournament and she lost in the final to a then 42nd ranked player. She only made it out the 3rd round twice in 2015 too. She's had a terrible two years after exploding on the scene in 2014. She is in a crazy downward spiral and she needs to get it figured out ASAP if she ever wants to be a top player again.
Keep repeating that she's 22 but most players start to decline by their late twenties and the tennis world is littered with players who had a great year and then fell off the face of the earth.
I mean I'm rooting for her. It's just crappy to see her fall apart like that. It looked very promising when we had both her and Roanic as top players.

Alright if you're hellbent on thinking she is completely done as a professional tennis player then fill your boots with that perspective.
I think she has a bright future ahead of her.
