I want to see playoffs. Simple as that.

From an individual perspective, Johhny is the guy.

I'm also excited to see if Ferland can have a big bounce back season under a new coach. I think he will in a big way.

1. Better defensive zone breakouts.

2. Better line mates for Bennett and his further development.

3. Less passive defensive systems.

4. The new guys.

5. The new guys in goal.

As long as our young guys continue to develop this year is just an appetizer for 2017/2018 for me.

I am already day dreaming about the line-up

Elliott. He instantly transforms the team. Interested to see if Gulutzan can resurrect Bollig or Wideman.

I'm almost as excited to watch Edmonton flop again as I am to see what this years Flames are going to be.

I can't wait to see Gulutzan's system and how our young guys do with it.

I also think Bennett is going to break out offensively this year. He seemed so dominant last season, just still a bit raw at times. We've got some better options as far as line-mates go this season so that should help him as well.

Treliving mentioned having pairs develop chemistry instead of trio's. I think Brower might be a great veteran option to play alongside Bennett. And the possibility of having Tkachuk on his left wing is very intriguing, although obviously he's not a lock to make the team.

I am most looking forward to see who can step up and complete our 1st line with Johnny and Sean, I think BT brought in some good pieces, so we will see who can step up and fill that spot. I hope it is Brouwer, but at this point, I really don't know what is going to happen. This is all very exciting.

The next is definitely goal tending, if it is 15th best in the league, even 20th we have a shot at the playoffs. I like what BT has done this off season and I think this season will be a surprise to all just how close the Flames are to competing on an annual basis.

The third, seeing if Tkachuk can make the jump and succeeding at the NHL. Even if he plays on the 3rd line with Bennett and Ferland, say they would get some sheltered minutes but it would be good for Bennett and Matthew to build some chemistry early on in their careers. Hopefully it is a good fit, I can't see why it wouldn't be.

The goalie, bigger Sean Monahan, Johnny, and the evolution of the defense.

I think the Flames' CHL prospects will be more fun to watch than usual. We have quite a few guys that can produce. Even the NCAA and AHL will be interesting.

In regards to the actual Flames, I'd say Elliott/Johnson. I hope Johnson plays so well that he makes a case for more starts. Except then Elliott also plays well, so Johnson doesn't get them.

I'm going to lower my expectations so I am not disappointed.

I like GG and the coaching philosophy he has planned but wonder how it becomes embraced by the players.

5 man units and 3 zones with the player's we have from thr goAL out sounds great....that's what excites me.

We haven't had a team where I personally wasn't wringing my hands nervously because of the goalie in a while....seems like forever since Kipper and getting spoiled watching that.

I want to see new career highs established for this team and not for individual players.

Just compete and if you don't win just be competitive in close games is all I am hopeful for.

No injuries to our defence if possible .....man Brodie out and Gio reestablishing himself was hard on the whole team last year along with horrid horrid goaltending.

Having goalies who can actually be consistent .

All the above.

83 days till puck drop

I'm most excited for Bennett and Hamilton. Really want to see some of that potential unfold

I want to see Monahan take his game to the next level. Be that elite centre in the league who wins key face-offs, scores the big goals and dictates the pace of play. If he stays healthy he has a chance to score 30 again. I think Brouwer on his line is a great addition too

Most excited about goaltending. A close second is Bennett having a solid year and progressing enough so we have a solid 1 - 2 punch on offense.

It's a tie between

-Watching potentially above average goaltending for this team between the pipes for the first time in years
and
-What the top line can do with another year of growing and a RW with size that can give them space
