If you give me $100 I will guarantee you no one will offer sheet JG.

Gaudreau can't sign an offer sheet and they'd match Monahan. Not sure it's worthwhile for teams to offer sheet him either. I wouldn't be worried.

Haha. Every year with this.
Every. Single. Year.
They're RFA's no rush to sign them.
If they aren't signed by training camp then we can start worrying.

Well.. for the record this is the first time I've seen someone say he can't be.
How can he not be but Monny can?

Due to how many pro years played if I remember correctly. And sure a team can attempt an offer sheet but don't forget the player has to also accept the offer sheet.

That lack of a 1st line RW though is just frustrating. That's why I wouldn't mind anyone that has a reasonable amount of skill for that spot like a Hudler type. Cheaper options would be better obviously and I don't see Hudler making more than 3 million.

Name one first line with three true 1st line players? Fact is most top 2 scoring lines are built with a skilled center, a skilled winger and a winger who helps them get and keep the puck.

It's been mentioned in the past on this board. But to quote theScore/Bob McKenzie:
Quote:
According to article 10.2.C in the collective bargaining agreement, Gaudreau doesn't have enough experience - fewer than three years - to be offer sheeted.
Gaudreau's in his third season, but only played one game in 2013-14. He'll turn 23 in August and has 152 games to his name, and 136 points.

The Brouwer signing is also great for Bennett and his development, and down the road Tkachuk. If their was a worry in the dressing room he wasn't developing properly, Brouwer is truly perfect in regards to showing him how to be a pro, especially in the areas where they are similar players with the grit and as Burke put it, being a complete pain in the ass.
