Thanks SureLoss. The contributions you make, as well as others, are the reason why people come here first for their NHL news. Your timely and insightful posts will certainly be missed if you decide to hang them up.

Sureloss wrecked my life.

Before joining CP, I was a healthy, vibrant man who exercised daily. My routine consisted of a long series of thumb movements which kept me incredibly fit and nimble.

Over the years, I have completely replaced these exaggerated, intensive thumb movement which were necessary to navigate the world of twitter, with a simple long wooden spoon in my mouth, with the tip of the handle pressing 'F5'.

The weight started pouring on quickly. I am now an unhealthy 549lbs. For Sureloss to leave me now, would be such a cruel fate. Pressing F5 will only result in a few locked threads, and the ones that aren't locked will never be updated.

That is one thing I really love about Sureloss threads - they get updated with new breaking news. It isn't just the timely and informative new threads that get started, it is also how wonderfully managed and clean the initial post stays.

Absolutely, a huge thank you to SureLoss, a top notch, respected poster on CP that puts in so much work. I think I can speak for everyone that hasn't posted already and even those that have, that we do wish you all the best in whatever you choose to do, but also hope beyond all hope that you will stay and continue your great posts and updates that are appreciated more than you can imagine. Cheers to SureLoss forever and always!

I'm just a whoever, but for me, Sureloss represents quality/concise posts, accurate information, timeliness, passion and a heap of amazing. He easily garners more respect than anyone on this site (sorry Bingo) and he has easily earned this from all members on this site. He is well respected on other sites as well. We are very lucky to have a guy like him amongst us.

A thanks does not suffice, but is all I have. Sureloss, you're a heck of a guy. Hats off to you, and a raised beverage in acknowledgement for you work.

The other day I was thinking about how we had to scour the NHLPA site for free agency signings.

Things today are much better thanks to Sureloss.

Sureloss does a great job. Thanks for that. AND thanks to the site designer and mods as well.

I'm not a Flames fan but Calgarypuck is always my first stop for NHL news.

All of the day's news is updated quickly and laid out in an easy to scan format. It is the best thing about this site.

special shoutout to sureloss and getbak for their frequent cba quoting on ufa, rfa, bonuses, waivers and dozens of other clarifications they post. Often they post an entire relevant section with explanation within seconds leading me to believe that they have large sections of the cba bookmarked and memorized.

You have made CP, which is a great flames/nhl fan pass time, an even better experience.

Well done.

Hopefully SureLoss doesn't feel embarrassed or awkward from the appreciation he's getting. He strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't care for that kind of stuff and maybe even hates it but hopefully you understand the impact you have to this community and how appreciated you really are.

Take the summer off - you deserve it! But come back in October! 😄

It is long overdue, and many years worth of pent-up creeping without contributing to the forum, so I have to say "Thanks" to SureLoss, on behalf of all of the "visitors" that are regulars, yet never say anything. You make peoples lives better
