Man, I really need to get a job like Pierre McGuire has.

"...the Sochi Olympics, I thought he was one of the best Russian players, and I thought he was fantastic playing for the Russians in Sochi."

Slava Malamud
@SlavaMalamud
Radulov is leaving about $1M on the table, walking away from CSKA's deal.

Seems like all the media has now fallen in line with the Habs PR machine and just slamming PK's character.

Maybe Bergevin does not want to be GM anymore and is trying to get fired

Why pay 9 million for a black all-star defenseman who apparently has attitude issues when you can pay 6 for a white top 6 winger who definitely has attitude issues.

Do you have an issue with race? Show evidence if you think race was involved in these moves.

Do I have an issue? No, but I'm obviously suggesting Therrien or Bergevin might.

Evidence:

Subban traded because he was bad in the locker room
Radulov brought in despite being bad in the locker room

Aside from one being an all-star, great in the community, great with the fans, and the other being Radulov... what difference do YOU think exists?

I didn't think it played a factor at all before today. Now I absolutely think it did.

No pepsi, refuse to bow to the demands of someone who refuses to quote posts properly. GATTACA!

Sigh Montreal is going insane. Did I see they're looking at giving Russell $6 mil a year? Sutter's meltdown looks reasonable compared to this

Teams be nuts

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Montreal and Detroit weren't the only 2 teams in on Radulov. Several teams. and a few 2-year offers on the table but Radulov wanted Montreal

If you've ever lived in Quebec, you have to at least consider it as a possibility. Many, many French Quebecers ate obsessed with the idea of a new Flying Frenchmen - the Habs must not only be successful, but also look and speak like they do.

so we went from "he's staying in Russia because nobody in the NHL wants him" to "several teams wanted him, some even for 2 years" within a couple of days.

Chris Johnston @reporterchris
Alex Radulov gets a $3M signing bonus from #habs today and will earn $2.75M in salary next season.

The attitude issue thing is a media fabrication, at no point did the coach or the GM say that it was an issue, they said it was a hockey trade.

The guy will put up 60-70 points next year and nobody will be saying this is a bad signing. People change...

High risk, potentially high reward.

They had to make some changes, they were a trainwreck all year. Will be very interesting to see how they do next season.

That salary though. O.o
