Ah... probably more of a lateral move than anything. His HNIC roll was diminishing all the time as he wasn't good on camera. Rogers went wild signing a bunch of sportswriters - Jeff Blair is another - who aren't very good on TV and ended up having to put them on the radio so they were at least doing something for their pay.

Don't see how sending a message to a girl requesting a pic is grounds for firing. This is the social media age we live in and that tweet suggests nothing inappropriate.

Oh thanks for teaching me about social media. Cox is annoying, but he makes his living off taking the other side and being that opinion guy. Even facts don't matter. So no...despite what i would prefer, i can see their argument to have kept the guy around this long. Now they change producer and try to rejig....so they toss him. But I don't think that tweet helped his cause. SN doesn't need its on air personalities using their sportsnet twitter accounts to snag pics of girls.

So who's decision do you think it was to limit that twitter account? How did that "social media age" argument work out for Harrison Mooney? I get what you are trying really hard to say, but that kind of tweet from a corporate media outlet is enough close it at least for a while.
