I would assume LW, if a deal like this was ever going to happen. I think Bennett would be switched over to wing and Duchene would be centering the line.

Duchene and Varlomov would be great. We could toss in a couple seconds, swap firsts, add Backlund, McDonald, Culkin (played for Roy).
If we can swing a deal for a goalie and a stud forward I am happy with the summer

Duchene and Bennett would be an amazing duo that I think would compliment each other quite well

People can speculate all they want on a sports message board. Did you think the Hamilton trade was going to happen?
I think Varlamov and Duchene could take this team from bottom 5 in the league, to a threat in the west.. Those 2 players would fill the biggest holes on this team.

Hamilton wouldn't re-sign in Boston so it was known he was going to be moved. There has been nothing in regards to Duchene wanting out of Colorado.

No harm in speculation. I never even heard Hamilton to Calgary rumours until like 15 minutes before it happened, no harm in discussing something else that doesn't seem likely

Last year when word first came out that the Flames traded for Hamilton, some thought that for sure either Gaudreau or Monahan were going the other way. Whoever we pick up this year, it'll be the same sort of deal and people will be amazed at how little the Flames gave up.

I think the expansion could bring the summer with the most movement since the cap was introduced. Could be some very interesting trades

He's been named for more than a year as potential trade bait.

He's also had a few spats with Roy, no? Nothing that couldn't be smoothed over I imagine, should they want to retain him. But he's certainly been singled out over the past year as a trade candidate.

I wouldn't put anything past BT, but I don't think they swing for the fences for a Hamilton-type player. I think they re-stock the prospect pool with the top few draft picks and perhaps move some others for a goalie, but nothing on the Hamilton scale.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
