Really you could do this buy phoning your payment processor and having them verify it too without costing you anything. We went over 50years without an issue, so it's not a common thing, but we definitely some learned what the fraudsters do to get away with things.
Okay, thanks. I'll follow up on this next week.

Try it again. I had the inverse problem, MC worked but debit didn't. Tried it again and it added.

Question for those that have used it. Are all tap enabled terminals set up to use both debit and credit? I use debit way more than credit.

Still doesn't work, but it's probably because it's actually a card for a line of credit.

Set up my debit card this morning. Tried Apple Pay at Co-op for gas, which didn't work. A couple hours later, tried it at 7-11, and it worked!

Successful first try with it, although funny enough it actually went way too fast and I used the wrong card. I was interested to see the interface and before I even realized what was going on the transaction was complete.

Normally, for tap using the debit card, you have to pretty much touch the card to the terminal.

For Apple Pay, I was bringing the phone towards the terminal, and got the buzz and done message while I was still about 2 inches away.

I found the same. You can set up a default card in the Wallet settings. You can also double click the home button to bring up your cards before going near the terminal to be double sure you have the right card set.
