Looking at the notification, it doesn't sound like the old way is an option at all. I can go to the Dome, but just talk to a ticket rep. No more grabbing a coffee, wondering around and seeing what seats are available, sitting in them debating a price increase, etc.

It's kind of like how in most measurable ways watching the game at home in HD should be better, but we all still want to go see the games live. I realize they can't do it both ways at the same time; somebody could reserve online while I grab the paper off the seat. However they could do it one way in the morning, and another in the afternoon.

Season ticket holder for 1 season and it looks like I have the last time slot.

May 31st at 5:30

As season ticket holders, we see all the available options before the hothouse members gain access correct?

I'm part of the "PL while you wait" group. I assume this means that there is an additional group of relocation for those who can only move within the PL rows 4+

This would have been pretty chaotic if not also a lot of fun I imagine. I can see this being a bit of a safety concern with people running all around down the aisles and climbing the seats to get to available options first.

I wager it was also a lot of work for the staff to have to manually set available seats after each purchase. As well, people would probably grab a handful of the available seats and just hold them and walk around with them as they look for more, then maybe hang out for a duration with held tickets as they wait for more to become available for further consideration. On a personal scale thats a great strategy, but obviously would prove not efficient to the overall system.

How did you find that experience overall? Am I out to lunch with my thoughts on it? Again, I think generally speaking this 'go down, walk around, see whats available' must have been such a cool event. But I can also anticipate how it would be problematic on a larger spectrum.

It also looks like if you want to possibly move outta the CC they give you a crappy time in hopes there aren't better seats available. I have spent one year in whites, 2 years in gold and last year in silver and my time is the 31st @ 5pm.

Are you in the Press Level like the others who have their sessions on June 2?

When it was a specific start time it was a mad dash. Then they started the staggered times and it was much better. We actually found it was just as good to grab a coffee and wonder around. Once a set of seats go, that person's old seats would get released. Each of my moves has been to seats that somebody gave up that day.

Yes, the odd person would grab multiple seats, but the staff usually stopped it right away.

I am way down the list, as this was my first year. What sort of movement is typical? Is it just a row or two? Maybe closer to an aisle? I am hoping to stay in the greens, but I wonder how much movement is likely.

Last years relocation was the first for me so I don't have a lot of experience to draw from to help, but in that first year I moved down 2 rows within my section, which was where I wanted to stay.

It sounds like renewal was down to the low 90's for percentage this year (based on that other thread) so there may be more options for all this time around.

Good luck bud. Let us know how you make out.

Three years ago, during our first relocation, we moved up 8 rows in the same section. That year had very low renewals, similar to this year. The following season, ie. after the playoff run, we didn't move at all.

I've only moved once. I had one pair for a while, and then got a second pair. For one season the two pairs were apart from each other, so at the first relocation I moved them to four in a row. I'm in row 17, which is the first of the greens. In order to combine my seats I had to move from 208 to 206, but stayed in the same row.

There were options to move all over the Dome, but I liked the price point I was in.

Well, I've been online since 9am today. There wasn't really much for me (I am really close to my ideal seats, so not a lot of ways to improve), but I have been watching some seats come and go.

There is one specific pair of seats I'm shocked have been available since 9 and are still available (in PL), but I'm sure they'll be gone by day end.

Anyway, though I haven't actually tried to change seats, this seems the ideal way of checking for seats. I can pop online any time I want (after my go-live time), see what's available, and make any changes from where I'm sitting.

Good job Flames on this system - love it! I did like the old walk-around system, but this is better (besides, I can do this from work, and not need to leave to check things out).

Thanks for this. Were you able to change seats, and then check back later to see if anything else came up?

If it's not too much of a hassle can anyone let me know if there are sets of four available?

I'm up tomorrow but just curious.

I didn't actually do a change this time... like I mentioned, there are very few seats that I'd consider moving to.

That being said, I don't see why you couldn't pull a switch and keep your eyes out for a more favorable position in the future. I'm pretty sure I remember others having done that in the past.
