Sherzer has tied the record with 20 strikeouts and can go for 21 now on TSN2.

Didn't get 21, but what a performance. 119 pitches, 96 strikes

I'm disappointed that the Bartolo Colon home run didn't make it in here. Usually when a guy takes 30 seconds to run the bases in a home run trot someone's getting beaned in the next inning or two. This time...it legitimately took Bartolo 30 seconds to get around the bases as fast as he could.

Reminds me of the Movie The Babe where at the end in the minors he had to get someone else to run for him.

Pretty remarkable though...I don't think I could hit a batting practice home run in a MLB park...Colon who's older than me and appears to have a lot more body fat...can.

It was that perfect Homer Simpson swing where every ounce of his lard went through that bat and sent it out of the park. A beautiful thing

So two nights in a row I decide to pop on the Mariners game, and both nights they have given up a lead in the top of the 9th.

Both nights Cishek into the game to shut it down, both nights giving up the lead.

The Giants flew to the Bay Area with their first undefeated trip of seven or more games since the 1913 team went 8-0 through Philadelphia and Brooklyn, three of those wins courtesy of Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson.

MLB has approved no more throwing 4 balls for intentional walk starting in 2017, just give the signal and he walks.

people seem to be really mad about this.

Anything to make the game quicker (although intentionals don't happen that frequently) is fine by me

I always think of Johnny Bench's intentional walk fakeout. Go to 2:20 if you want to skip the game review.

I guess it's ok to speed up the game, but I'll miss the rare chance of a wild throw on an intentional walk

Ichiro is on fire. 13 for his last 16 and batting over .400.

He might get to 3000 hits by the all star break!

Sucks losing Smith... And having E Rod suffer a setback last week the pitching isn't getting help from injuries, that being said the pitching has exceeded my expectations... Except Bucholz, Bucholz still sucks.

In good news JBJ just extended his hitting streak to 28 games
