Yeah, as long as it's the exact same model they should give you 10% off the advertised price. The girl seemed really snotty about giving me the deal, which I don't understand. It's not her money, and it is their policy.

IMO Ridgid has the best carpentry cordless tools, and over all Milwaukee has the best stuff out there.

Not a fan of Dewalt, aka yellow toilet.

For the average DIY they're all the same.

I have Craftsman cordless tool and apart from the shoddy jigsaw have had absolutely no problems with the ones I use most often (impact driver, drill and skill saw). I don't have experience with that many other manufactures but with two Li-Ion batteries you always have enough power around to finish any size job.

I think the best thing you can do is not be a brand whore and spend your money on the tools you use most often. For instance get a great impact driver/drill combo and then buy cheap corded versions of the tools you rarely use.
