I was going to suggest a rad Lego set, but it sounds like he wouldn't have been down for that

I'm 26, played video games as a kid, throughout all my late teen years, and still do. I was just in the hospital for a month a couple years ago and built over a dozen Lego sets, mostly Lord of the Rings and Hobbit stuff. I like books, when I was in Jr. High I really started getting into it but 16 year old me still takes the 3DS over the book 10 times out of 10.

I'm with you doctajones. I haven't built Lego in forever. If someone gave me a set while I was hospitalized for some reason, I would be stoked.
