Wonder what the lineups for Stockton next season looks like. Everything seems to indicate that they will be a good team with some high upside . This may be the lineup, but I expect some prospects to make the jump into the NHL:
Shinkaruk-Grant-Poirier
Agostino-Hamilton-Hathaway
Mangiapane-Arnold-Klimchuk
Pollock-Jankowski-Smith
Wotherspoon/Kylington-Morrison
Kulak/Culkin-Andersson
Sieloff-Gilmour
Kanzig
Gillies
Simpson?

Grant is a Group 6 UFA and may not be back.

Agostino-Hamilton-Klimchuk
Mangiapane-Arnold-Caroll
Pollock-*-Smith
Shore?
BVB?
*Lomberg*
Kylington-Kulak
Culkin-Andersson
Gilmour-Morrison
Sieloff-*
Gillies
Poulin
If we bring back Grant it will be in the NHL as he won't likely clear waivers the way he did this year. I also don't know what the plan is with Shore, do they see an NHL upside to bring him back or is he a lost cause?
* = AHL signing maybe even Elson if they don't think he's worth an NHL deal. Also I don't know, I don't think they're going to waive Wotherspoon. Maybe even Smid gets waived before Spoon.
Lastly, there is the possibility that we draft our first rounder a forward out of Europe (Matthews, Laine, Puljujarvi, or Rubtsov) and that player is in Stockton.

Is Van Brabant anything more than AHL filler at this point? I recall he was much sought after out of college.
Feel badly for Agostino. He's probably good enough to be a 4th line energy guy/ PKer right now but he's got guys like Bollig in his way.

It's wierd, because I think he's a scrub. But every time you hear someone (Huska, Conroy, etc) talk about Stockton, BVB's name always comes up. I think they're planning to replace Bollig with him. That's basically what he is, a cheaper Bollig.

If Agostino has a strong camp, I think there will be a spot for him. There's also the chance another team picks him up on waivers if they've scouted him enough.

I actually thought the biggest thing that's stood out about Mangiapane was his play in training camp before this season started. He really stood out.
When you add his current season to that, it's pretty exciting.
I am anxious to see if he stands out again next September.
Could be a steal of a pic.

Of course, he was wrong about the QO: only players earning less than the NHL average had to be offered a 10% raise. And he was wrong about what the team could afford. His conclusion was so far out there it fell into the category of ‘not even wrong’.
Dowbiggin isn't always out to lunch, but when he does go out to lunch, he takes his tiffin in a whole ’nother galaxy. If you ever hear somebody say that oranges are blue, and bunny rabbits have wheels, and therefore the Saskatchewan Roughriders are going to win the Stanley Cup – well, you're probably hearing Bruce Dowbiggin on one of his bad days.

Yup. A guy who clearly knew nothing about that CBA wrote a book about that CBA. Frightening.
And his performance on Fan960 was embarrassing today. He was clearly trying to troll and rile people up throughout. It is beyond sad that he has a job and people like Sportak and Johnson don't.

Thought he was one of the best players in Penticton and also looked good as long as he stuck around. I think he was cut after the first pre-season games vs. the Oilers so he could be there in time for the start of Barrie's season. He was pushing hard all the time and was pretty greasy for being a smaller player. Thought I remembered him pushing with Kanzig at one point. I think he was one of the last junior cuts.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn heads again next training camp though he'd be a long shot to crack the roster next season.

He was more noticeable than any other forward in Penticton. I hope it's the same this year!

At this point he seems like a 10x better prospect than our dud 1st rounder Klimchuk.
When I looked him up I couldn't believe he only has 7 points in 43 games, I mean WTF is that? is he playing defense or maybe goal?
Side note, looks like Shinkaruk is playing well, 8 pts in 11 games.

Would there ever be enough room on this team for a Gaudreau and Mangiapane?

That has been my concern as well. This team needs to get bigger and harder to play against. My hope is Mangiapane develops into a Byron type player with more finish. Small and feisty you can live with. It is doubtful both the small guys ever play together, so there is that to consider.

Of course there will be room. They're both tiny, they don't take up much room at all.

Hudler/Gaudreau didnt seem to have too many issues... And Mangiapane got suspended 8 games for a cross-check, he isnt a pushover.
5'10 182 lbs with room to build weight onto his frame isnt that small...

Exactly. He isn't a midget. I think someone on this board compared him size/play wise to Brad Marchand. Seems about right.

on this current version of the Flames, there is more than enough room for additional scoring talent. not saying that Bread is anywhere near as good as Johnny, but theoretically if someone told you that you could have a 2nd Johnny on your team, I fail to see how that doesn't make the squad better.

Also interesting that not only was he voted top shootout shooter in Hockey East this season (Ho-Sang voted 3rd), but Mangiapane also finished 3rd last year. I really can't believe he fell to the 6th round. I guess all the scouts in the league felt his season was an anomaly? Or they all thought he was 5'5 like Dowbiggen?
Could be a Gallagher type steal and that has me cautiously optimistic. Fast with finish and tenacity.
And yes there would be room for that type of player in a 2nd line wing position. Bennett would create some open ice for the kid.

Kids scoring at a goal per game and 2 points per game pace and we're hoping for Paul Byron?
And I thought I was pessimistic. 6th round pick or not, he's tearing it up. I really really hope he can translate that into more offense than Paul, 14 points, Byron...
