I don't know if anyone else noticed - not sure if it was shown on TV or not - but at some point in the second someone was injured or something in the first row of the lower bowl in the corner. Not sure what happened but security and EMS was there. Looked like a dad and a young kid - maybe 7 years old. In any case, first the ref came over and threw a towel to the security guy (presumably to deal with some blood). And then shortly after Ferland skated over and tossed his game stick to the kid - huge cheers from the crowd in that section. I wish more people noticed in house because it was a pretty awesome gesture. I didn't see what happened or if it was to the kid or the dad but I was pretty impressed by Ferland.

Anyone else see this?

****ty stats aside (which was mostly because that line were on the ice against our best and our best played awesome), man does Tarasenko's defensive game impress me. He might be the most solid defensive winger I can think of under 30 right now.

Gaudreau has 69 points in 68 games played.

Tied for 5th in scoring with Crosby and Kuznetsov. 1 point behind Karlsson and 3 points behind Seguin.

With games coming up against Winnipeg and Toronto he could be in the top 3 shortly.

Frolik had me reminiscing about Fleury's short-handed hat-trick from many moons ago. How cool would that have been?

Someone (Ferland, I think) skated over and gave them a stick after. Classy move.

Yeah it was Ferland. He went and banged on the glass and then tossed the stick over.

What a game. Fantastic offensive and special teams output. 3 breakaway goals, 2 of them shorty's. A hat trick and even though the Flames gave up 4, Ortio was full marks for the win.

feels so good to have a 100 point pairing. I think only 1 other team (nashville) can make that claim
