Hiller absolutely stunk today and Ortio was just hoping the puck would hit him. That guy has no confidence. Put him on waivers and be done with him.

Possible but he's put up good numbers on a bad Leafs team and he's a Burke guy and a player they tried to trade for last year. I would bet there's a better chance he becomes a Flame than Stamkos a Leaf and the latter has a good chance of happening.

Team played ok for a period or so. Goaltending was stinky poo.
Wasted money taking the family to the game today. Would have been happy if Smid took out Perry and Kesler with flying elbows to the chin.

We'd be right in the thick of the playoffs if we had even average goaltending. If we had Kipper-like goaltending we'd be challenging for the Pacific crown. But hey, at least trade deadline day should be interesting.

Yep, and just like every other time the Flames go after Leafs players, Reimer will get some big multi-year deal and suck the entire time.
It's pathetic that of all the trades or signings Calgary has ever made involving Toronto, the best player they've got in return is probably Matt Stajan. Or maybe Colborne?

I was at the game. It wasn't that the skaters played to bad. This loss is 100% on the goaltending. Hiller sucks. I was a huge supporter of his last season. But he lost us this game. Ortio was no better.
Goaltending is BAY FAR the Flames #1 need. Not an elite #1C. Not a franchise D. Not a star RW. A solid, dependable goaltender. We are no where near a contender until we have that, AINEC.
Treliving's mandate after the deadline should be to wizard his way to a #1G. It's that simple. Find us a good goalie, and we'll see this team take off. Leave us with mediocre crap, and this rebuild will never finish.

Hudler with 10 points in his last 10 games only increases his trade value. A part of me wants him back as I don't see anyone on the farm right now that could take his place.

Go to DTMTS.com
The NHL hasn't uploaded them yet, so we have to wait and see.

#Flames coach Bob Hartley noted that he liked Jakub Nakladal's game today. Said the d-man, who played 12:28, "Handled himself very well."

Michel Petit narrowly edged out Craig Berube (in his first stint) as longest serving player we got back in the Gilmour Trade.

Good on Hudler for raising his trade value. Yes he will leave a big hole, but with the way he's been playing it wouldnt' surprise me to see him score a 1st rounder. We could sure use that.

The goalie I'd most like to see Treliving pursue in the off-season is Sean Burke.
The guy worked wonders with the goalies in Arizona. He turned Dubnyk into an NHL goalie again.

No just no. Ramo has provided NHL calibre goaltending.
The issues run much deeper.
Power play stunk most of the year
Penalty kill has been hot garbage all year
Top line doesn't do anything on the road
Until recently there has been no secondary scoring
The depth players have been crap all season
It is simply not a good team.

Some of that was Steve Valiquette as well.
