Don't act like the NHL is any better or worse than any of these things. The 3 on 3 format actually has me interested. It's the best thing they could have done for the game IMO.

All star games in NFL, NBA, NHL are completely played with the absence of Defense, a vital component of actual competition...therefore all are a joke. Baseball, at least, has the least amount of tactical alteration, save inning limitations on pitchers, although, I do agree that it is sheer stupidity to attach any post-season ramifications on this, also disposable, exhibition.

I like the skills comp, haven't watched the game for years. I always thought it would be more fun if it had a Harlem Globetrotters vibe to it, where players really hammed it up and tried to show off more. I'll never forget when Nolan called his shot on Hasek, that kind of thing really entertained me.

Meh... It's only the All Star game.. I think if players don't want to go.. they shouldn't have to.. It's a joke anyways

Kind of sucks if your actually injured but if you're really hurt an extra game off wouldn't hurt. For the the majority who are just faking it so they weasel out of it, should be a 2 game suspension.
