IIRC, John Scott will still have to play for the Pacific at the All-Star game (see: Sandis Ozolinsh):
Sandis Ozilinsh was traded from the Panthers to the Ducks after being voted in as an Easter All-star representative. He chose to skip the skills competition where he would have to wear a Panthers jersey, which he didn't feel would be appropriate, and was fined for it. But he played in the game itself for the Eastern team.
However, Dave Tippett said the other day specifically that John Scott would be called up again so that he could participate in the ASG. What I gather from that is that if he is not on an NHL roster when the NHL breaks for the ASG, he is not eligible to participate.

I was just listening to Pierre McGuire on TSN1040Vancouver radio and he thinks Tinordi hasn't been the same since being KO'ed about a year ago by Canucks prospect Andrey Pedan.

ARZ wins the trade. They trade the ASG joke away so OEL who actually deserves the recognition for his play goes to represent the Coyotes. And they get Tinordi who is the best player in the trade.
I'm actually happy they did this stick the big middle finger to the trolls. Brings a small sense of integrity to their franchise.

Not the first time he's been knocked loopy.
EDIT - he has the same sort of problem that Hunter Smith has fighting. He's used to being way bigger than everyone and just slugging away while they can't reach him, but he leaves himself wide open to shots when he's fighting against technical fighters or in the case of the AHL fight someone the same size as him.

Nope. Did you read my earlier post?

Don't think they can replace Scott with OEL. The division's team already has 3 defensemen and I doubt they send one of them home so that OEL can play. If anything, they replace Scott with a forward from Arizona.

Fair enough. Anyone other than Scott will do.
