Jagr is getting a lot of praise this year, and rightfully so, but Barkov is a beast in both ends of the rink and needs more attention.

To be fair, this Barkov line has been doing that against the absolute best in the league for the last 20 games or so.

After two periods

It is 1-1 in the Red Wings-Ducks game. Tatar scored 16 seconds into the game. Perry scored later on in the first period.

It is scoreless in the Devils-Wild game. This is a boring game with only twenty shots in total. Neutral zone trap to the extreme!

Absolutely. He's really taken a major step this year. I've been saying he reminds me of Kopitar with much better hands and vision.

Bush league by Gryba. Good on Bjugstad to fly over there immediately. That's why I have his jersey. That and the goals.

Looked like a hit in the numbers. Gryba should be gone.

Ugh, Edmonton Power play after that crap. That's why the instigator rule is awful for hockey.

And he just barely turned 20. The sky is the limit for him.

Also, for those who haven't followed the Panthers (that's all of you), Montoya has been nearly just as good as Luongo this year. Really exceptional back up play by him all year long.

I don't mind the instigator rule when a player has a clean hit but has to defend himself when a guy from the opposition drops the gloves and starts hammering him. The issue is it's normally called so inconsistently by NHL officials, I'm not surprised nobody knows what is or isn't a penalty anymore.

That was nothing like a "clean hit".

Hall-Dreis-Poo. That's an unfortunate line in terms of nickname.

edit: Nvm. It's Purcell...not Poo.

Some early third period offense in the Devils-Wild game, 2-1 New Jersey. Henrique and Parise are the goal scorers. Merrill has the go ahead goal.
