Shame none of the kids are lighting it up in Stockton, as that would be a convincing argument to letting a lot of these contracts just expire (Jones, Hudler, Russell). Instead if these guys walk or get moved at the trade deadline, we really don't have much in the cupboard to replace them. Aside from Granlund, Grant has been the only real standout.

I'm sure the owners agree with you, and would rather not have the revenue from half a dozen home playoff games.

As for ‘guaranteed to lose in the 2nd round’, I'm so glad that there is no such thing as an upset in the Stanley Cup playoffs, ever. I was in some doubt about that point, especially after a #8 seed won the Cup a few years ago, but you have reassured me.

All those freebie points last year from ARZ, SJ and Dallas and L.A have evaporated with their imrpoved play. Flames may have the same amount of points as this time last year, but less teams are sucking for McJesus.

This not a Debbie Downer comment coming up, but given that other teams have rebounded and the Flames haven't really made the jump to keep up, they will be getting a Dreamy Finnish RW. This is my prediction.
