Toews isn't the best nhl player right now, Carey Price is. But he's up there and you'll be hard pressed historically to find another player with that kind of resume

It's not that they HAVE TO USE team accomplishments, it is that they have led their teams to tremendous success.

Some people consider that the most important thing. Others prefer goal scorers like Ovechkin.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Toews, without a doubt he is a great player. I just think he is overrated in the sense that some people think he is the best player in the league.

If Toews gets drafted by Florida I would bet that this isn't even a discussion. If you replace Toews with Crosby, Malkin, Kopitar, Zetterberg, stamkos, etc that team just just as much success.
