Bollig plays even less, averaging around 8 minutes a game.

WTF???

Hartley using Raymond or Bollig over Grant (or anyone else) has caused exactly zero losses, IMO.

Raymond or Bollig?
Engelland or Smid?
Ramo or Hiller?

None of these decisions has a significant impact on the games' outcomes.

Ramo or Hiller used to. They usefully alternated hot and cold streaks.

Do we have to have the same arguments every time Bollig or Raymond play in a game? They're obviously not going anywhere this season guys. They rotate in and out as the extra forward in the lineup. They are not the determining factor for success on this team, nor is any 4th line forward on any team in the league.

Get. Over. It.
Spilled milk maybe but Byron has had a much bigger impact on a much better team with 3 goals, 2 assists and 32 hits in 15 games for the Habs (which is only 8 hits less than Bollig in 17 games). Having a sparkplug on the 4th line makes a big impact. Jooris and Byron did that for us last year. We don't have that this year. Grant was the closest thing to it.

Except without any goals and assists, or any PK time, like Byron contributes.

Grant was excellent in the dot, most nights anyways.

I doubt you'd find a single CPer that would prefer to have Raymond over Byron. They really botched that one. (Especially with raymond being put on waivers later anyway)

Plays die on Raymonds stick and we turn the puck over. Bollig is too slow to keep up with the play and takes bad penalties all the time. 2 negative factors that attribute to goals against. I know you cant blame a loss on a single player, but how many goals against has this duo cost us?

Man do I hate the "plays die on his stick" line. Especially because plays die on everyone's stick, most of the time. Plays die on Gaudreau's stick, too.

Last game Raymond cost exactly zero goals against and was on for one goal for. In fact, I can say he cost zero goals against in, say, his last 6 games (Oct. 31-last game). Flames were 4-2 in that time frame.

Bollig played 7 games in Nov. Flames were 4-3. I think he was in the box for a couple goals, so depending on the penalty you may have a point there.

Engelland probably makes a sizeable difference on that bottom pair over Smid IMO.

I might be remembering incorrectly, but didn't both Byron and Raymond were put on waivers at the same time? Nobody wanted Raymond and Montreal claimed Byron?

Sorry for my part in derailing this thread. Bollig is largely inconsequential.

Hoping to see a carryover from last game to this one. That was the team we've all been waiting for. I think Ramo bounces back with a strong game and we go on a run in December.

Win all games in December. That would be a great Christmas present.

Not sure which team will show up. I have no predictions on this one.

Why do you keep comparing Raymond to Gaudreau? It's exhausting... And just plain dumb.

Watch Raymond next game. I guarantee he will fall with the puck in the offensive zone at least 3 times. Without being under ANY pressure.

Bollig on the 4th line causes less damage then Raymond in the top 9. Period.

Raymond playing 1st or 2nd line basically means your 1st or 2nd line will not be scoring goals. Or they will be doing it without Raymond touching the puck like what Monahan and Gaudreau have been doing with a useless Hudler on their line for a 20 game stretch.

Pretty sure that's Bennett.
