There were a bunch of players that were steady tonight but the one shining player in the game tonight was again Sam Bennett. Its impressive how he can go through traffic and keep the puck on his stick

Edit: He really really really needs a more offensive center or get moved back to center with offensive/skilled wingers.

The Flames should have won the game easily in regulation, but once again the PP was terrible. The coaches need to come up with a better strategy.

Cant believe there wasnt a penalty called on Ekman Larsson for that hit on Gio. Wonder if the league will take a look at it.

Pretty sure he was called on boarding.

But yes, special teams horrific. Johnny is having a tough time carrying the puck in. They need to switch it up.

It's probably a silly idea. But spit balling , why not take Hudler off the top line. Replace with Bennett. Move Hudler to Backland's line with Frolik. Since Hudler and Backland both been playing like third rate plugs. Maybe it sparks something. This point in the season we got nothing to lose.

Looks great on paper but Bennett seems to play much better on the left side and at center. I think they need to put Bennett at center with Johnny and Frolik or Hudler.

The most consistent offensive threat duo we have seen this season was Johnny - Benny... Why it stopped is a mystery. Bennet wins so many battles and can creat space for Johnny. He also adds much needed physicality.

Hudler - Monahan - Frolik
Gaudreau - Bennet - Ferland
Granlund - Backlund - Jooris
Colborne - Stajan - Jones

This is what I'd run. Play the lines at rates in which they perform.

Ramo was terrible, and will remain terrible because his issues aren't correctable. He loses track of the puck all the time. It's actually remarkable how often he has no idea where the puck is. I wondered tonight if he needed to get his eyes looked at, but his mistakes are often due to a general lack of insight into how a play is going to develop. He guesses where the play is going, he doesn't know. And he guesses wrong a lot.

But don't take my word for it - look at the game tonight. Ramo doesn't know where opposing forwards are, and gives the puck away twice because he decided where he was going with the puck without knowing where all the Coyotes were.

Ramo is not an NHL starting goalie. He is a guy who can give you a chance. Which is fine when you expect to be 30th. A contending team can't have a goalie that routinely beats himself. We apparently have three. #### me.

And there it is - the we lost so "blame it on the goaltending/Ramo" rant.

We get it the goaltending isnt good enough blah blah..... most of the team isnt good enough right now.

The goalie doesn't know where the puck is.

I guess it's saying the obvious but just not enough games this year where the majority of our top players are playing well. Different guys have decent games every night but never enough at one time.

My complaint with Wideman used to be that he was useful, but way overpaid to be a 4th or 5th defenseman.

Now I'm starting to think our d in general is overrated and if Wideman is your 4th defenseman, then you're just not good enough.

Did Granlund touch the puck tonight? Never understood what ppl see in this guy. He's a space filler IMO

Obviously he didn't have a big negative impact either, so I guess that's a positive.

First game after being called up. I'd give him some time.

One way to describe him is always reliable, never spectacular. If he was 6'3" 210 he would have a full time bottom 6 role.

he nearly set Hamilton up for the game winner. Granlund's icetime was at 6:14 - so I'm not sure what you expected. A hat trick?
