Glad to see Ortio start. Really hope he gives the team and the crowd a lift.

I'll say 4-2 Flames. Bennett with 2 goals.

And Russell scores all 5 goals for the Habs on his own net.

Flames seem to have the habit of making back up goalies look like the reincarnation of Georges Vezina, so I'm really hoping they buck the trend tonight.

This might be over dramatic but this weekend could very well define the Flames season if it is a sweep one way or another. This will be an angry Habs team that is coming off a choke job last night and will be motivated to pull 2pts out of western Canada. If the Flames win both games it could be the turning point in the right direction. Edmonton will be full of confidence tomorrow and the Flames will need to be ready. If both games are a loss then this season really is lost and the plan needs to change to get young players up and start dealing veterans for futures to reload in the summer. 2-9-1 will not be something we can rebound from. 4-7-1 we still have a hill to climb but one hot month can put us back in the mix

If I hadn't already missed so many games this year for other reasons, I'd probably just sell my tickets to a Habs fan and make some money.
Tried that. They're going for face on stub hub.

Why on God's green earth is a lineup like that 2-7-1?

Last game was a good sign of getting out of the funk. They must not suck today to continue building some self confidence.

That made me lol, mainly cuz I say it to my son before each game to calm him.

I don't think this is overly dramatic. Even if the season isn't lost, at that point major changes would be in order and as was the case last year (although that was more due to injuries) kids came into the line up and made a very good showing of themselves.

This is what it's like having average goaltending infront of a bad team. People got spoiled by Kipper and still expect the same performance from our goalies.

Was Grant in the press box against the Sens? I forgot he was still up!

You have that backwards.

This is what it's like to have terrible goaltending in front of an average team.

Bollig is still going to manage to take minor penalties from the press box.

1) we have had no where near average goaltending

2) no one expects Kipper-ness from any of them.

All anyone wants and all anyone expects is solid, consistent, even average goaltending

The Flames would kill to be the Panthers right now.

Anyone want to trade for Luongo? Sv% .939. GAA 2.00
Geez it was a joke. People get so uptight around here when the Flames are losing.

Hoping for a good game from Monahan. Minus his 6 points, and a few plays, he's looked pretty bad to start the year.

We usually matchup well against Montreal. I feel no different about tonight. Tonight is the night they finally put it together and the season turns around!
